Silent Key

We were saddened to hear that Miika Heikinheimo, OH2BAD had become Silent Key earlier this week. Miika was a very long-time radio amateur with great contribution to the Ham Radio community all over the world. Miika’s positive attitude and friendliness was extraordinary, thus he had many good friends everywhere. He was also an active DXer with many peditions under his belt. As priest he had also wedded many radio amateur couples into their lifelong journeys. For OHDXF foundation Miika played a very important role. OHDXF was founded in 2000 at the Finnish Radio Amateur League (SRAL) summer camp in Messilä South Finland. Miika was the first President of the foundation, and we are very grateful to his important contribution and support throughout our endeavor.

With our deep condolences to Miika’s family and relatives, many of whom are also radio amateurs.
